Nepal — Toward the Fishtail

The Mardi Himal trek, November 2025. Terraced villages and harvest fields give way to foggy teahouse camps, rhododendron forest, and the exposed ridgeline above the clouds. Pack horses carry supplies past Machhapuchhre's south face. At high camp, corrugated tin shelters and stone walls with prayer flags are the last things built before the rock takes over.
